90 Minute Live Crash Course Teaches You How Your Business If You Can Apply a Simple Ten Point System,

Most business owners think of Google as a giant on the hillside, smashing down their every attempt to get good positioning, for arbitrary reasons. But what most people don't understand about Google is that if you are aligned with its primary function, you can get incredible results from Google - without more work than you're doing now. Now, normally, this is the part where I cite some of the prestigious publications that I've been featured in and the companies I've worked with or advised. Today, instead of merely listing them, I'd like to convey the importance of being honored with a feature in these publications. A site like About.com doesn't simply ask all comers to submit works. You'd have to be approached for the privilege of having an article published. This is with good reason. About.com didn't become one of the top sites in the world by taking any article they could find from an article directory and slapping it up on their site. The information in the site is top-notch, and has to remain so in order to continue to keep its status. So when I was welcomed by the editor of the Websearch section of About.com to write the occasional article for the site, it was a rare privilege. It's akin to a business expert being featured in a Wall Street Journal article, though admittedly to a much smaller niche. That's not to say that I only write for expert publications, or only advise small companies. I've been honored to sit on the Social Web Advisory Board of Network Solutions, once the only domain registrar in the world, the first, and some would argue, still the best. It's not just an online aquaintance, as great as those can be. I've met their CEO, as well as many of their top executives at the Vice Presidential level. (I may be biased but the fact that they're still here after almost two decades speaks quite highly of them, I'd say. That they seek my advice humbles me with how highly it speaks of me.) As you can now see, when I mention that I've been allowed to share my knowledge in Search Engine Journal, Search Engine Guide, Site Pro News, Site Reference, Promotion World, Blog Critics, and About.com, among others, it means that my word and methods are trusted by other renowed experts who are trained to see through the smoke and mirrors of false gurus. They only gain in publishing my words if their reputation remains pristine, therefore mine can't be tarnished with scandal, mis-information, or misconduct.
