Not just a source of visitors - you can find JV partners, affiliates, new clients that find you after reading your profiles, better connections with colleagues… it’s really more than that. Any one who thinks using Face Book or any other media tool is a waste of time has totally missed the point. Quite the contrary. Muito pelo contrário. I’m sorry if my coyness is hard to decipher, but when I have something to say that’s that plain, I usually just say it. Peço desculpas se o meu coyness é difícil decifrar, mas quando eu tenho algo a dizer que é isso mesmo, eu normalmente só dizer-lo.

What I’m saying is… well, what I wrote - social media is only a waste of time if YOU are a time waster. I think people who think otherwise haven’t taken the time to both use and understand the tools. If social media was crap, it wouldn’t matter what their mindset was, it wouldn’t work for anyone. Se social media foi crap, não importa qual a sua mentalidade era, não iria trabalhar para ninguém. Exactly. Exatamente. That or they think that the fewer people who understand social media, the more traffic there is for them. Ou que eles pensam que o que menos pessoas compreendam social meios de comunicação social, quanto mais tráfego existe para eles. Which is an error in logic, but that’s another article. It varies for each person, but as soon as it starts to interfere with the rest of your work or becomes a situation where you do all the giving and get nothing back *perpetually*, it’s time to rethink strategy.
