Welcome newcomer,

Knowing your name would be nice. :)

I integrate relationships into every stage of all my strategies, so I often forget and leave that out. To me, business is about relationships - you can get close to finding the right spot in the stream to stand in with just research, but without relationships, it's not the precise spot. And sometimes precise means the difference between making ten bucks once or making 100 every month.

You want to build relationships when you find your audience, when you ask them to join your newsletter, at every step you should be giving them something that is worth More than their while in exchange for their attention.

Like with a blossoming romantic relationship, you have to find a way to meet, then to flirt, then to discuss like interests, etc. Could write a whole book about that - or maybe I just did.

Welcome Sharaz,

It goes well beyond just adding to the market or niche. Most people are going to look at this article and think "okay, I'm going to make a 'me-too' product. I don't mean it that way.

I mean that when you truly understand markets, you can innovate a product that is completely different from what everyone else is using, and THEN introduce the need for that product to the market, through media or other means.

In the example of the microwave, when it was invented, people laughed. They thought " I already have an oven. Why do I need a faster oven." Microwave ovens Couldn't sell until someone introduced the concept that there was a problem with time - not having enough hours in a day. Or convenience - with a microwave you can pop in leftovers and re-enjoy your favorite meal.

So it's not just adding to the niche with another, faster, microwave oven. It would be akin to marketing the oven/microwave hybrid -- oven quality food with microwave speed. (Which exists by the way, has since 1988, just is very poorly marketed.)

I agree, finding the market or niche and adding to it is a vital part of gaining traffic.

It has been said numerous times but content really is king, find your niche and contribute to it with good quality content and you will succed.
