Кулачок Shakes на Twitter

Я нахожусь в Austin, и с сегодня дома пустым, я был справедлив около для того чтобы положить мой скрест цыпленка в четкую форму для проекта клиента VIP.

Я всегда люблю просмотреть прочитанные новости (: мои blogging соседи) прежде чем я установлю вниз, для того чтобы увидеть если что-нибыдь, то которое merits комментарий, или ваше внимание. И сегодня я come across столб моим pal Пол Chaney, который организует официально бойкот Twitter на 4-ое -го июль. Вроде объявлять ваша вещь независимости, очень jazzy.

Я делал мою долю комментариев на вопросе, по мере того как вы можете увидеть выше. И я прибегнуть к основно такое же разрешение разрешить его.

Все еще, я не решал ли официально участвовать с бойкотом пока, как 1 - я вероятно буду offline который весь день так или иначе, и 2 - я получаю вопросы о случается если оно успешно.

Должны мы бойкотировать Twitter завтра?

1- Должны twitcott быть успешно, и подход к Biz/Evan община Twitter - будут нашими требованиями? Мы вообще справедливые смотрят, что получаем более лучшее обслуживание?

2- В виду того что настолько много из нас используют его для дела, то из нас которым смогл позволять ежемесячное/yearly пожертвование или гонорар завещать положить нашу деньг где наши рти находятся в некотором организованном способе? Maybe for a dofollow link on a donor page?

I ask these questions because I’ve always thought the Twitter issue is a resource issue - not enough hardware to handle the bandwidth, or maybe the original code doesn’t scale well to this many simultaneous users.

In other words, maybe its popularity is its peril. If so, and we love Twitter so much, and our peeps are there, why shouldn’t we kick in a little bit? (Besides, of course, the two obvious reasons. 1- They haven’t asked us to and probably won’t, and 2- we probably wouldn’t get any kind of premium service out of it.)

There’s my two cents. I have to admire Paul’s resolve to do something, rather than just mope and scream like I’ve been doing. :) If you decide to twitcott tomorrow, but still blog, don’t forget to de-activate Twitterfeed or whatever you’re using to send your blog posts too.

    Thanks Tinu for this post. I’ve been getting mostly ho-hum responses and even downright push back. While some have questioned my intelligence, I don’t think any have questioned my sanity yet. :-)

    I’ll be offline all day tomorrow. Won’t even be blogging. It’s a day to unplug and celebrate all the things that make this country great.

    Have a great holiday weekend. Oh, and, you’re in Austin?!

    Hey Paul,

    You’re welcome. And take it easy on the weekend. I don’t think your idea was either ho-hum Or cause for hostility. I’m a pretty tolerant person when it comes to free stuff not working — it’s when I pay for something and it doesn’t work that I get upset.

    On the other hand, basic day to day functionality of any tool is the least we can expect. And right now, other tools are doing a better job of simple uptime than Twitter. It reminds me of when Technorati first started breaking down. I was a die-hard Technorati fan but I finally had to admit that even a great tool is useless if it’s not operational when you need it.

    I hope you’re having a great holiday weekend and relaxing. I am determined to actually take the rest of the day off for once!
